My little asthmatic.....

Well yesterday was a little traumatic for the Daniels family. Kade has been suffering with a terrible cold for the last few days while he has been at my moms house. Clark went and picked him up yesterday and brought him home. While he was here at home, he started breathing really fast and began to wheeze. He was breathing was so deep that if you looked at his tummy you would see his stomach go into his ribs (they call it inverted breathing.) So obviously we needed to take him to his pediatricians office to see what was going on. His oxygen levels were low, so they decided to give him a breathing treatment. They told us that we needed to rent one of those breathing treatment machines, and that he needed to be on a steriod medication. It was scary though because he kept needing these treatments. The Dr also wanted me to take him to the hospital to have a chest x ray done (just to be on the safe side,) since he has never experienced this before. Anyone that knows Kade at all knows what an active little boy he is, and he has never had this problem before. So you can imagine how bummed he was that we haven't been able to go outside and play because it flares up again. After a LONG night of absolutly no sleep, I am still so thankful that he is OK and that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Please keep Kade in your prayers, we would really appreciate it!

Oh I'm so sorry. Kody went through something similar last thanksgiving. We had to buy a nebulizer and he's had numerous breathing treatments since then. His pediatrician and I need to discuss whether further treatment is necessary to manage it. I know how scary it is to see your baby not able to breathe. I hope he feels better soon! Hang in there!

Oh poor Kade! This sounds almost like what happened with Ali's little girl. I hope he feels better soon!

Sad! That is so scary. That must have been so hard trying to keep that mask on him and keeping him inside. I hope he feels better soon!

Oh man!! That is SO scary. My two youngest have asthma and Saryn had an attack this spring. One of the scariest things in my life. Hope that all works itself out and this is just a distant memory for you...
